Green-IT Working Group
*Green-IT* is the GPYC working group tasked with taking care of the technological needs for the Green Party of Yolo County. The group meets on an "as needed" basis.
You're welcome to be involved! If you have expertise or creative ideas you would like to suggest, that's great. If you just want to watch and learn, that's great too. Just contact us.

Things we aim to accomplish:
MEMBERSHIP DATABASE
- design and maintain a database of current GPYC supporters and voters
- make this information available whenever Green efforts require
- phone-banking
- mailings
- precinct-walking
WEB SITE
- maintain and develop the GPYC web site
- ensure the web site is updated with current
- announcements
- press releases
- officer, county council, and GPCA rep contact info
- working group info
- county council meeting minutes
- bylaws
- local platform/position statements
- archive the press releases, minutes, and position statements
- develop simple ways to let others add content to the website
- start looking at migrating to a new server
E-MAIL COMMUNICATION
- maintain and moderate the GPYC e-mail lists
- keep the GPYC e-mail forwarding addresses current
- make sure the Yolo contact info is current on the CA Greens web site
- research/develop a good on-line decision-making process
MEASURING OUR GROWTH
- keep track of monthly statistics like
- total & percentage of registered green voters
- number of confirmed members in our database
- number on the yolo-announce list-serve
- this will give us a way to evaluate and measure our success in growing the Green Party in Yolo County!
